TRAVERSER LA FRANCE
Having grown up in the south of France and having family in Normandy, I'm used to traveling between these two points by car or train.
So... why not with my bike?
With the experience of a child who uses his bike to go and play soccer with his friends, and no specific training, it didn't really make sense to think about a trip of this scale. I had no idea what I was getting myself into. Fortunately, I had time and my unassisted trekking experiences gave me the confidence to go for it, so I went all in! I crossed the villages of Provence, the warm hills of the Cévennes and the cold mountain routes of the Massif Central for the first half of the trip. Then I joined the Loire and crossed the famous Diagonale du Vide before arriving in my childhood vacation memories: Normandie.
It was much harder than I could have imagined, and at the same time much easier.
In any case, this project paved the way for others.
10 memorable days, 1300km, 13 600m of elevation (and a lot of croissant).
